CONCEPT

The MBARI rebranding project aims to create a simpler logo design featuring waves to appeal to a wider, younger audience and generate more interest in marine sciences. It also aims to provide a fresh, cohesive visual identity for MBARI's expanded public presence. MBARI's research intersects marine life and technological advancements, progressing consistently towards its goals, showcasing the organization's pursuit of knowledge and understanding.

ANIMATED LOGO

The rippling effect of the waves became apparent as its anchor, MBARI's goal, united similar goals and motivations to enhance marine science and the ecosystem.

Organization Poster Series

Illuminate

I created a series of posters for MBARI inspired by their deep-sea creature photo library. The posters feature vibrant creatures found in the dark ocean depths and incorporate the rebranded MBARI logo with negative x-ray-like images. This aligns with MBARI's goal to understand the mysterious parts of the ocean.

Event Poster Series

The Otter Project — Enhydra Ecosystem

I love visiting aquariums because of my fondness for sea creatures and the sense of peace and tranquility it brings. Many aquariums in the US have otter enclosures as part of their wildlife conservation efforts. I want to plan an event for MBARI to attract young children to be interested in sea creatures and marine sciences.
